Carolyn S. Wimmer, 74 of Russiaville passed away 4:30 am, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1944 in Howard County to Donald and Dorothy (Kennedy) Thompson.

Carolyn was a 1962 Western High School Graduate and retired after 32 years of service at Delco Electronics. She was a member of the UAW Local 292. Carolyn loved her family, Molly her dog and working in the yard.

Survivors include her sons Chuck (Teresa) Mooney of Russiaville, and Tim Mooney of Kokomo; daughter Tina Mooney of Kokomo; grandchildren Zac Reser, Faith Mooney, Hannah Mooney, Dirk Mooney, Heather Mooney, Janzen Wimmer, and Devon Wimmer; ten great grandchildren; brothers Jon (Joy) Thompson of Kokomo, Chris Thompson of Florida; brother in-law Tom Eades and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Dorothy Thompson, sisters Janice Surber, Janie Eades; brothers Max Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Mike Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Stout & Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main St. Russiaville, with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Burial will follow at Russiaville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at

Chuck and Teresa, So sorry to learn of the passing of Chuck's mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve your loss. So sorry for your loss but heaven has gained an angel. Carolyn was a true friend that went above and beyond what most friends do. May God surround your family with his love and give you peace and comfort. Carolyn will be dearly missed by all who knew & loved her.
