Julie S. Arnold

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Suzanne Arnold on April 19th at the age of 67, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Julie was born and grew up in Kokomo, IN. She attended Indiana University, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority.

Julie loved sewing, theatre, movies, gardening and playing piano. She enjoyed travelling with the love of her life, Doug, to Stratford, Ontario for the Shakespeare Festival.

Though Julie’s foremost job was as a wife and mother, Julie loved being involved in her husband’s and children’s schools, where she worked in the front office and even directed the junior high play.

Julie is survived by her husband, Douglas Arnold, and children, Ian (Sonia), Adam (Kelly) and Emily (Steve). She will be deeply missed by her sister, Jane Heltzel (Terry), and brother, Jon McCleary.

She leaves behind her four beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie, Teagan, Wyatt and William.

Julie was predeceased by her parents, John and Naomi McCleary, and her brother, Jim McCleary.

We are having a private family celebration of Julie’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Kokomo Civic Theatre.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have supported and are supporting us during this difficult time. Julie will forever remain in our hearts, and her love will continue to inspire us.
