Linda Ellen (Andrews) Gillam, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 4:15 pm Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born October 31, 1938, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Garrett & Thelma Fern (Phillips) Andrews.  On June 9, 1957, in Kokomo, she married James Keith Gillam who preceded her in death on January 27, 2006. 

Linda was a 1956 graduate of Northwestern High School.  In 2000, she retired from ABC Publishing in Chicago as an executive secretary.  She had previously worked in Kokomo for Kingston Products and Delco Electronics.  Linda loved interior decorating, cooking, and watching tennis.  She adored her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Linda had a winning smile that would light up a room and her sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her son, James Douglas “Doug” (Kim) Gillam; grandchildren, Alyssa (Zach) McDonald, Erica (Jeff) Richardson, Bryan Gillam, Dylan Bailey, and Ian Bailey; great-grandchildren, Bailey McDonald, Emma Richardson, and Raiden Bailey; sisters, Joan Wheeler, and Janice Webb, along with several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, and 3 brothers-in-law, Floyd Conwell, Fred Wheeler, and David Webb.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 6, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Joe Coffin officiating.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from Noon until 2 pm on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the American Lung Association, 115 W.
