Travis William Fording, 36, Russiaville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. He was born Dec. 3, 1975 in Kokomo to William K. And Carolyn F. (Turner) Fording.
Travis was a kind, loyal and loving father, son, and brother. His children were his life and the apple of his eye. He was a giving person who would give the shirt off his back. He never met a stranger and was always for the underdog. Travis had a tremendous faith in God and recently gave his heart and life to his Lord Jesus Christ. He's “jus chillin” in heaven.
He loved his “Momma” and “Pops” with all his heart. He named his son Kemper in honor of his father. He lovingly referred to his daughter as “you gorgeous thing you” and his son as “little pumpkin man.”
Travis was a natural athlete who enjoyed playing and watching all sports. He was a devout Indiana University and Colts fan and enjoyed singing and listening to music. He had recently attended Ivy Tech to pursue higher education.
He is survived by his parents; Christine Hunter Fording, whom Travis called “baby doll,” the mother of his precious children Kemper Craig and Abigail Marie Fording; three sisters, Tami (Timothy) Wilson, Kokomo, Amber (Scott) Walters, Kokomo, and Kimberly Fording, Greentown; nieces and nephews, Sara Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Casey Wilson, Madison Fording, Tyler Fording, Mariah Fording, Isaac Fording, Kinsey Duke and Javen Ruckman.
