William Leckrone Obituary

William Howard Leckrone, 102, of Forest, passed away at 8:18 pm Thursday, June 17, 2021, at his home. He was born March 26, 1919, the son of the late Carl and Sylvia (Linson) Leckrone. On December 23, 1944, he married Rosemary Townsend in Peru, IN, and she survives.

Howard was a 1937 graduate of Russiaville High School. He spent his entire life farming. Howard was a member of the Russiaville Masonic Lodge, Kempton Lions Club, and was an avid Indiana University fanatic. He loved farming, as he was a loyal John Deere supporter.

In addition to his wife Rosemary, Howard is survived by his son, Dennis (Leisha) Leckrone; brother, Dean (Susan) Leckrone; grandchildren, Neal (Kasey) Leckrone, Brooke (Riley) Eller; great-grandchildren, Payton Leckrone, Kendall Leckrone, Keagan Leckrone, Avery Eller, Emersyn Eller, and Kennedy Eller.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Delores Rayl, Wayne Leckrone, and Mary Mae Leckrone.

Private services were held at Stout & Son Funeral Home. Burial has taken place in Russiaville Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
