William Henderson Obituary

William H. “Bill” Henderson, 79, Young America, passed away at 8:00 am Thursday, October 31, 2019, at his home.  He was born November 6, 1939, in Kokomo, the son of the late Walter & Anna Jane Henderson.  On February 19, 1971, he married Charlene Haworth who survives. 

Bill retired from Chrysler Corp after 30 years of service.  He proudly served with the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1965.  Bill was an avid bowler and enjoyed his time spent at Heritage Lanes Bowling Lanes and the Cedar Crest Bowling Lanes where he was active on leagues.  He also enjoyed bowling in Logansport.

Along with his wife, Charlene, Bill is survived by his children, Julia Haworth and Rick (Margaret) Haworth; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ann Lou Floyd and Irene Hiatt.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joanna Haworth; and grandson, Scott Haworth.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastors Joe Coffin and Mark Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-4 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
