Wendell R. Lange

Wendell R. Lange, 88, Greentown, passed away at 3:07 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2025 at his home. He was born January 15, 1937 in Greentown, IN to Raymond W. and Helen A. (Mast) Lange. On November 25, 1959 he married Julia K. Gordon and she survives.

Wendell was a 1955 Eastern High School graduate and co-owner of Ray & Wendell’s auto service. He enjoyed country music, NASCAR racing, and was a lifetime member of the Tri-State Tractor and Engine Association.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Lang; daughter, Kathy (Jerry George) Lange; grandchildren, Amber (Laurie) McLay, Kim Riddell, Nancy (Brandon Sumpter) Riddell, Bobbie Jo Riddell, Sarah (Adam) Riddell-Netzley, and Brady (Cayla) Lange; great-grandchildren, Christopher Thieke, Douglas Thieke, Zoe Thieke, Emma Lawson, Alekzander Beason, Naacal Cox, Shelby Isaac, Wyatt Riddell, Hailey Netzley, Zacharie Netzley, Trenton Netzley, Lylah Lange, Macayleigh Lange, and Jamisen Yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dale Lange.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street, Greentown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
