Verlin Gay Boggs, 82, Kokomo, passed away at 10:38 am on Wednesday September 21, 2022. He was born in Enterprise, KY on April 24, 1940, to the late Elmer and Pearl (Clark) Boggs. He married Sandra “Susie” Eikenberry in 1991, and she survives.
Verlin graduated from Olive Hill High School. He worked for Erik’s Chevrolet as a salesman and retired after 25+ years of service. He was truly a natural born salesman who “loved the sale”. He was an avid church goer. Attending both First Church of the Nazarene and Christian Heritage Church. He also enjoyed going to flea markets.
Along with his wife of over 30 years, Susie, Verlin is also survived by his children, Hampton “Leon” (Michele) Boggs, and Michael S. Boggs (Cyndi); brothers, Carl Boggs and Glenn Boggs; sister, Earnestine “Tina” Obney; grandchildren, Blake Boggs, Devon (Megan) Boggs, and Jennifer (Kyle) Koenig, Brennan Boggs, Emma Boggs; 18 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Charles Scott (Miyuki) Spidell, Stephen (Kelly) Spidell, Michael (Pamela) Spidell, and Sandra (Clay) Nix.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Ruth Nickels; and brother, Eddie Boggs.
There will be no services held at this time. Cremation has been entrusted with Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory.
