Veda Mae Reynolds, 86, of Kokomo, passed away at her home at 9:03 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025. She was born May 10, 1939, in Evening Shade, Arkansas, to Wesley and Eula (Duncan) Hinson.
Veda attended Galveston High School and worked for 31 years as a custodian at General Motors/Delco before retiring in July of 1996. She loved gardening, especially tending to her flowers, bird watching, and antiquing.
Survivors include her children, LaRonda (Steve) Smith, John (Carol) Reynolds, Jr., and James (Betty) Reynolds; grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Lutke, Jordan Reynolds, Marcia (Brian) Moore, Ashley (Kevin) Minor, Sean (Jenny) Smith, John Reynolds III (fiancé Madison Mikesell), Dana (Jeff) Malone, Diana (Jason) Jenkins, and David (Catherine) Jacobs; great grandchildren, Harper, Holden, Jasmine, Carmen, Madison, Brandon, Ashlynn, Liam, Tyler, Derik, Jayden, Brayleigh, Mason, John Cullen, Griffin, Fayth, Genevieve, Gavin, Gage, Grace, Page, Presley, Jason, Lucy, and Henry; sister, Verlene House; special niece, Ramonia Eldridge; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Madge Thompson, Coleen Maple, and Irene Millsap; and brothers, Eulice Hinson and Eanos Hinson.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Stout & Son Funeral Home Sharpsville Chapel, 204 N. Church St., Sharpsville, with Chaplain Steven Claspell officiating. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the funeral home.
