Travis Scott Thorrington Obituary

Travis Scott Thorrington, 59, of Kokomo, passed away Sunday November 9, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born October 21, 1966, in Kokomo, the son of the late Brian Thorrington and Barbara Melton.

Travis graduated from Lewis Cass High School in 1985 and immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving until 1989. During his service, he was honored with the Air Force Training Ribbon and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, reflecting his dedication and exemplary conduct. Following his military service, Travis established a career as a residential and commercial painter, a trade where he was well-respected for his meticulous work and strong work ethic.

Travis is survived by his daughters, Kayla (Logan) Brooks, Tessa Thorrington, and Janna (Patterson) Markham; grandsons, Beckett and Paxton Brooks; and his brother, Randy (Cheryl) Thorrington. He was a cherished uncle, known affectionately as Uncle Travis by his nieces and nephews.

Travis was known for his fun-loving nature and generous heart. He loved spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and sharing his creations with family and friends. Whether he was cooking up a meal, lending a helping hand, or making others laugh, Travis brought warmth and joy to every room he entered. His kindness, humor, and willingness to help others reflected his deep care for the people around him.

In line with his wishes, no services will be held. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with the cremation.
