Thomas "Thom" Roderick Thompson

Thomas “Thom” Roderick Thompson, 70, Kokomo, passed away at 11:15 am on Sunday December 4, 2022, at North Woods Village in Kokomo.  He was born in Flint, MI to the late Thomas D. and Marie (Burnie) Thompson, on June 26, 1952. 

Thom graduated from Northwestern High School in 1970 and from the Maytag Technical Repair School. He worked for Maytag and retired after 20 years of service.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, riding motorcycles, snow skiing, and scuba diving.  He had the opportunity to film humpback whales for 6 months with Oceanographers. Last month, at North Woods Village, he was baptized.  

Thom is survived by the mother of his children, Kathy (Heflin) Thompson; children, Heather (David) Claxton, D.J. Franklin, Angela (Dan) Godbey, and Katie (Hunter) Anthrop; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Dennis, Debbie, and Denise.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
