Thelma Evelyn Winburn, also known as Granny, 95, Kokomo, passed away at 10:35 am on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 27, 1929, to the late George and Thelma Thompson.
Thelma graduated from Kokomo High School in 1947. She retired from Indiana Bell after 36 years of service, as a Network Administrator and Operator. After her retirement, she worked for the Russiaville Depot, and McDonalds. She was a member of Crossroad’s Community Church. She enjoyed going to Bible study, crocheting, and working on crossword puzzles. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Thelma is survived by her children, Cliften (Kathleen) Winburn, William (Katherine) Winburn, and Evelyn Rawls; grandchildren, Jeff (Chasity) Brake, Donald Brake, William C. (Jessica) Winburn, Jachob Winburn, Amanda Randolph, Lesly (Aaron) Schlueter, Karla (Boston) Woolley, Allan Winburn, Deborah Rawls, Amber Rawls, Sarah Rawls, and Micah Rawls; many great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Marjorie) Thompson, and Karl (Karen) Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Scott M. Rawls, and Kenneth Rawls; and son-in-law, Estle Scott Rawls.
A graveside service will take place at 10 am on Friday May 3, 2024, at Crown Point Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Stout & Son Funeral Home, PO Box 218, Russiaville, to help assist the family with final arrangements.
