Terry Gene Cottingham

Terry Gene Cottingham, 66, Kokomo, passed away at 8:16 pm Sunday, July 31, 2022, at his home.  He was born March 22, 1956, in Tipton, IN, the son of the late Leonard Doyle & Belva Attriss (Anderson) Cottingham. 

Terry was a retired electrician.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He played softball and taught his sons to play baseball and enjoyed watching football on TV.  He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dogs.

Terry is survived by his children, Christopher Cottingham, Nicholas Cottingham, Terria Cottingham and Matthew Cottingham; grandchildren, Destiny Rush, Draco Nollenberger, Taylor Smith, Kaitlyn Cottingham, Payton Cottingham, McKenna Cottingham, Christopher Cottingham Jr, Nicholas Cottingham Jr. and Abigail Cottingham; great-granddaughter, Phoebe Rush; brother, Mike Cottingham; and several nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Cottingham; mother, Belva Cottingham-Grubb; daughter, Jessica Cottingham; siblings, James Long, Edward Long and Nelda Semon.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.   Memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
