Ted J. Miller, 89 years old, of Russiaville, passed away at 2:09 am Friday, September 5, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Indianapolis, IN. He was born at home in Forest, IN, on February 28, 1936, the son of the late William and Ethel (Walker) Miller. On December 24, 1964, he married Janet Lillian Martin, and she preceded him in death on August 22, 2024.
Ted was a 1954 graduate of Forest High School. He retired from Delco Electronics after 23 years of service and finished as a shipping clerk. Ted was a huge jokester who was loved by all and never knew a stranger. He was a born salesman who sold anything like knives, watches, and purses to college memorabilia. He was skilled at woodcarving as he taught classes in Florida and was a member of the Wood Carving Club in Converse, IN. His favorite hobbies were spent outdoors farming, riding horses, and snowmobiling in Michigan. Ted formerly operated Bud’s Puddles Camp Ground. He was a longtime member of Main St. Christian Church in Russiaville.
He is survived by his children, Deb (Brian) Crussel, Monica (Jeff) Feilen, and Ted Miller; exchange daughter, Agnes (Yawar Rahimi) Kroes; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Archie, Brandon (Kaitlyn) Crussel, Seth (Lindsey) Crussel, Joshua (Sadie) Feilen, Deborah (Leeland) Shaw, Corban Wuebker, Dylan Wuebker, Ava Feilen, Samantha (Gabe) Bennett, and Jacob (Haley) Miller; great-grandchildren, Presley Archie, Peyton Archie, Theo Crussel, Sage Crussel, John Crussel, Elizabeth Shaw, Makkenzie Shaw, Emmalynn Shaw, Hannah Shaw, Hazel Feilen, and Sutton Feilen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Miller; wife, Janet Miller; siblings, Cleon Junior Miller, Mary Jane Nelson, Max Wayne Miller, Donal Lee Miller; grandchildren, Olivia Feilen, Lily Wuebker, and Mason Wuebker; great-grandson, Parker Archie.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from Noon to 2 pm Friday, September 12, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979. A funeral service celebrating Ted’s life will begin at 2 pm on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Jamie Lyon officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Ted’s memory to Come As You Are Praise and Worship Church, 308 N. Emerson Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219.
