Tammy Lynette Showers

Tammy Lynette (Hansen) Showers, 56, of Russiaville, passed away Saturday September 27, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis, IN, on September 3, 1969, the daughter of Londa (Hamilton) Clark. On February 8, 2000, she married Mark “Joe” Showers, and he survives.

Tammy was a 1987 graduate of Pike High School. She attended schooling to become a Certified Nurses Assistant. She previously held jobs at a nursing facility in Mulberry, IN, and at the Indianapolis Star for a brief period. She ultimately was a devoted homemaker who cared for her husband, their children, and their grandchildren.

Tammy was simply the best person who always looked for the good in other people. She had a funny sense of humor. She was an avid reader who often visited the local library. Her favorite hobbies revolved around being outdoors like fishing and kayaking. She also enjoyed knitting. She often took trips to thrift stores and shopping for antiques. Tammy found joy in completing DIY projects.

In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her children, Ashley (Steven) Calvert, Julie (Joseph) Fowler, Andrew (Alyssa) Showers, James (Aubrey) Showers; grandchildren, Caleb, Alivia, Charlie, Sawyer, Aliyah, Theo, Adeline, Annalise; her mother, Londa (Donnie) Clark; great-grandchild, Madilynn; siblings, Keith Hansen, Donna Anspaugh, Donnie Clark; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Hansen.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday October 8, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979. Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
