Stephen "Steve" Lloyd Danforth

Stephen (Steve) Lloyd Danforth, 83, Greentown, passed away on June 29, 2025, in Kokomo. Born on March 10, 1942, in Peru, Indiana, to Lloyd and Marjorie (Hamman) Danforth, he dedicated much of his life to his family and his work. On November 9, 1963 he married Roberta Sue Highley, and she survives. Stephen retired as a general supervisor from Delco Electronics in 1997.

Steve was a member of the Converse Church of Christ, as well as various organizations, including the Greentown Lodge #341, Shriners, Elks, and Moose lodges. He was a dedicated Boy Scout leader and cherished his annual hunting trips with friends in Maine.

Steve was also a talented stained-glass artisan, creating beautiful works of art that reflected his meticulous and creative spirit. His passion for golf was well-known, highlighted by achieving the rare feat of a hole-in-one. For the past 25 years, he and Bobbi fulfilled their dream of living the lifestyle of “Winter Arizonians”. Most of all, he cherished time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves behind a loving family: his wife, Bobbi Danforth; children, Victoria (Kevin) Flook, Stephen Scott (Melissa) Danforth, and Christopher Danforth; grandchildren, Ethan (Juston) Flook, Levi (Taylor) Flook, Logan Flook, Taylor Flook, Tori Flook, Erica Flook, Samuel Danforth, Natalie Danforth, Jonathan Danforth, and Quinlan Danforth; great-grandchildren, Cayden Flook, Ryland Flook, Adalyn Flook, Saiorse Flook, and Elsie Flook; and brothers, Joseph and Phillip Danforth.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street, Greentown, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Boy Scouts of America or Disabled American Veterans (DAV), in Memory of Steve Danforth.
