Stanley Arthur Brafford

Stanley “Stan” A. Brafford, 65 years old, of Kokomo, passed away Thursday evening June 26, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born in Garden Grove, California, the son of the late Ray and Edith Brafford.

Stan graduated from Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1978. After high school, he went to work for Borden Dairy. In 1990, he moved to Michigan and began working at ITM. Stan moved back to Indiana in 2012 to be near his brother. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas, completing yard work, spending time with his family and many friends, and watching his favorite football team, the Los Angeles Rams.

Stan is survived by his brother, Michael (Shelly) Brafford; sisters, Laura Bowen, Missy (Frank) Abbott, and Ray Danilowicz; nieces and nephews, Nicole, Matthew, Christy (Fred), Adam (Helena) Frank Jr., Amanda, Jeff, Bryan (Jessica), Cindy (Scott), Steven (Sara); great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonathan, Jessica (Caleb), Dammon, Tara, Victoria (Amy), Angelica, Bryan Jr., Brianna, Braylon, Brandon, Corey (Haley), Anna; great-great-nephews, Dominick and Wyatt. Stan leaves behind many friends that spanned from California to Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Sammie Raye and Jenny (Ray); brother-in-law, Dale (Laura), niece, Michelle; and nephews, Robby and Michael.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Stan’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society or your preferred charity. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
