Shirley Marie Horoho

Shirley Marie (Arnett) Horoho, 87 years old, of Greentown, passed away 10:07 am Sunday June 22, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent 86th Street in Indianapolis. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on March 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Charles and Isabel (Thomison) Arnett. On April 7, 1957, she married Daniel Lee Horoho, and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2023.

Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was the ultimate caretaker and homemaker of her husband and their children. Shirley was a reserved lady who enjoyed flowers and appreciated trees. She enjoyed sewing, collecting porcelain dolls, and Greentown glass. Her favorite times were spent square dancing and round dancing with her husband Daniel.

She is survived by her daughter, Tami (Steve) Cass; son, Kerry (Sandy) Horoho; grandchildren, Nick (Amanda) Cass, Lesli (Wayne) Holt; great-grandchildren, Christian Holt, Natalie Holt, Emily Cass; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, Baby Horoho; and siblings, Ruby Fierke, Melvin Arnett, and Betty Boehler.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:30 am to Noon Saturday June 28, 2025, at Hasler – Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, IN 46936. A funeral service celebrating Shirley’s life will begin at Noon on Saturday at the funeral home with Dave Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown.
