Shirley Ann Borg

Shirley Ann Borg, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 2:21 pm Friday, July 18, 2025, at her son’s home with family and friends at her side. She was born in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carl Borg and Doris (Wise) Falls.

Shirley spent her professional career in housekeeping at St. Joseph Hospital and previously at Star Glove Factory and cosmetology, where she was known for her diligence and kindness. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her 41 years of active participation at the Family Worship Center in Kokomo. Shirley dedicated her life to her family and community, touching many hearts along the way.

A woman of many interests, Shirley enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing piano, and cooking. She cherished time spent with her family and bowling. She also took pleasure in watching her favorite TV shows, which included games, cooking, home improvement and dream home shows.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Larry Alumbaugh of Westville, IN, Kevin Alumbaugh, Jeff (Marilyn) Alumbaugh, Brenda (Mike) Chesshir, Mike (Tina) Craft, and Robert (Leslie) Craft, all of Kokomo, IN; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Arnette Borg of Dallas, TX.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lester and Don Borg; daughter-in-law, Veronica Alumbaugh; and grandson, Kyle Craft.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Family Worship Center, 1149 E. Center Road, Kokomo, with Pastor James Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 pm on Friday at the church and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.  In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's memory to the Family Worship Center, honoring her commitment to her faith and community.
