Shirley Ann (Russell) Lipinski

Shirley Ann (Russell) Lipinski, 85, Kokomo, passed away at 6:52 am Thursday, November 28, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo.  She was born September 16, 1934, in Kokomo, to Wallace and Helen (Thrasher) Russell.  On February 19, 1964, she married John D. Lipinski, who survives.

Shirley worked 30 years at Delco Electronics, retiring in 1988 to care for her ailing mother.   She most enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, and especially enjoyed hosting her family for holiday gatherings.  Shirley will be missed dearly by her family.

In addition to her husband John, Shirley is survived by her children, Greg (Janet) Parker, Kokomo, Mike (Sherrie) Parker, Kokomo, Lisa (Steve) Reed, Lafayette, and John (Rhonda) Lipinski, Warsaw, Poland; grandchildren, Joseph Parker, Charlevoix, Michigan, Christen (Ian) Sando, Carmel, Brandi Parker, Plano, Texas, Brittany (Sean) Schafer, Valparaiso, Bryce (Erica) Parker, Westfield, Kayla (Matt) Jacobs, Whitestown, Ashely Reed, Roanoke, Lily Lipinski, West Lafayette, and Lia Lipinski, Warsaw, Poland; and great-grandsons, Parker and Eli Sando, Sean Michael and Crew Schafer, and Tripp Parker.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Wallace Russell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Mark Stahl officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown.  Friends are invited to visit with family from 4-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF), PO Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515, www.macular.org.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
