Sharon Arlene Trobaugh Obituary

Sharon Arlene (Milliken) Trobaugh, 84, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown, IN.  Sharon was born August 13, 1941, in South Bend, Indiana, the only child of Floyd Richard and Marjorie Blanche (Ewers) Milliken. She was a 1958 graduate of South Bend Central High School.  On November 13, 1960, she married David Allen Trobaugh, who survives.

Sharon retired from Kokomo-Center Schools in 1985, where she spent 15 years as the cafeteria manager of Haworth High School.  She later worked for 18 years as a teller at First National Bank, Kokomo. Sharon loved music, and was an accomplished pianist, arranger, and vocalist. She was active in church and choral music from the time she was in high school, and throughout most of her adult life.

Sharon was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.  She was a 52-year member of The Order of the Eastern Star, affiliated with both Chapter #89, Kokomo, and Chapter #108, Center, Indiana, and she served as Grand Organist in 2014.  Sharon was a Past Grand Guardian of Indiana (1985-1986), Job’s Daughters International, and a Past Grand Bethel Guardian of the Grand Bethel of Indiana.  She founded the Indiana Job’s Daughters State Choir and served as its director for many years.

In addition to her husband, David, Sharon is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Scott) Pruett, of Nashville, TN and a son, Todd (Connie) Trobaugh, of Kokomo; grandchildren Erin (Theo) Kazmark, of Murfreesboro, TN, Taylor (Hunter) Musselman, of Avon, IN, and Connor Pruett, of Nashville, TN; step-grandchildren Adam (Jennifer) Blankenberger of Kokomo, Dina Garcia of Tampa, FL, and Mark (Amanda) Blankenberger of Burlington; five great-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; and beloved sisters- and brother-in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-grandson, Anthony Blankenberger, and step-great-grandson, Myles Blankenberger.

Sharon’s family wishes to acknowledge the exemplary care she received from the staff of Bloom at Kokomo for the past two years, with heartfelt thanks to the Memory Care unit. Special thanks also to AseraCare Hospice.

Services will take place at noon, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home and Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, officiated by Pastor Joe Johnson of Shiloh United Methodist Church.   Friends may visit with the family between 10 am and noon, prior to the service. Interment will be in the mausoleum at Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund.
