Sharla Kay Williams (nee Riordan) passed away at her home on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at the age of 74. A beloved mother and grandmother, Sharla was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, and attended Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis.
Sharla was a friend to everyone. She never missed a chance to chat with those she met, friend or stranger, always with a bright smile on her face. She had a profound ability to make everyone feel welcome when they were with her. She was a devoted Christian with a deep faith in God, and devoted her life to following Christ, attending and volunteering at her church homes throughout the years. She was most proud of being a grandmother, and loved to spend time with her many grandchildren, and enjoyed sharing stories about them to anyone who asked. She also had a love for animals, including her pets that preceded her. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting many kinds of antiques to decorate her home and enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family.
Sharla is survived by her daughter, Melissa Kaster and son-in-law Kevin; her son Brian Williams, their father Barry Williams; her six grandchildren, Kathryn, Micheal, Brandon, Jarren, Kali, and Cole; her great grandchildren, Nova and Daxton; and her sisters, Cindy Hale and Vicky Sneed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Riordan, mother, Doris Riordan, and sister, Nancy Musgrove.
