Scott Raisor Obituary

Scott A. Raisor, 61, of Camden, passed away at 1:07 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Life Care Center in Rochester.  He was born February 27, 1962, in Logansport, to John M. and Janet M. (Dittmer) Raisor.  He married Edna M. Zell, on May 16, 1981, at the First Landmark Baptist Church in Kokomo, and she survives.

Scott attended Taylor High School and later earned his associate’s degree in welding from Ivy Tech. He worked at Honda in Logansport which led him to earn his certification as a Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha Mechanic.  Scott also worked as the Head of Maintenance for Transco Railway Products for 16 years. He later became a licensed electrician and ran his own business, Raisor’s Repair, from 2003 to 2018. He was a member of Region 4 ABATE for 10 years.  Scott was a protective brother, loving husband, supportive father, fun-loving Papaw and loyal friend. He enjoyed riding his Harley and building or rebuilding motorcycles, cars and 4 wheelers. He loved classic rock. Scott cherished spending time with his family and was most proud of being Papaw to Paisley. He had the biggest heart, was kind to everyone, and would help a stranger in need never expecting anything in return.

In addition to his wife, Edna Raisor, survivors include his children, Jamie Raisor and Justin Scott (Brooke) Raisor; granddaughter, Paisley Mae; siblings, Kris Cole and Kelly (Jim) Craig; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
