Sara Dawn Lewis

Sara Dawn Lewis, 33 years old, of Kokomo, with heavy hearts we announce her passing who left us far too soon on June 28, 2025. Her life ended tragically due to a heartbreaking struggle that does not define the bright, loving, and vibrant soul within. Sara brought laughter, energy, and light wherever she went. She had a contagious smile, a fierce love for her family, and a heart that never stopped giving – even when her own burdens grew heavy. She faced more than her fair share of pain, but she also gave more than her share of love.

Sara leaves behind her beloved children, Alexia (9) and Gavin (4) who were her pride, joy, and greatest source of strength. She also leaves her grieving parents, Sheila and Dave Phelps; sisters and brothers, Jamie Sullivan, James Sullivan, Olivia Peter, Paul Bullins, Lacie Sullivan; nieces and nephews, Lyla, Owen, and Asher; her boyfriend, Rob Dockerty; former husband and his fiancée, Andrew Glassburn and Cassidy Yocom.

Though her time with us was cut short, her impact remains. She was a fighter, a nurturer, and someone who never stopped trying. We will remember her not just for her struggles, but for her spirit – wild, beautiful, imperfect, and deeply loved.

Services for Sara are pending. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family in honor of Sara, C/O purchasing school supplies for Sara’s children. Hasler-Stout Funeral Home in Greentown has been entrusted with cremation.
