Rosetta M. (Brown) Casey

Rosetta M. Casey, 77, Kokomo, passed away at 2:15 pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at her home.  She was born August 29, 1942, in Searcy, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John Henry & Mamie Analine (Smalley) Brown.  On April 21, 1963, at the First Assembly of God Church in Kokomo, she married Donald “Ray” Casey who preceded her in death on December 19, 2003. 

Rosetta was a graduate of Western High School.  She retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service.   Rosetta loved to crochet and spend time with and taking care of family.  She gave 2 years of her life caring for her dad.

Rosetta is survived by her sons, John Ray Casey and Alan Jay Casey, both of Kokomo; grandson, Nick Casey (Samantha Cherry), Kokomo; great-grandchildren, Dalton Titus Casey and Emma Grace Casey; and sisters Betty Jane Worthington, Florida, and Joyce Gail (Brian) McNutt, Kokomo, along with several nieces and nephews. 

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Jim Earl Brown; and a sister, Ann Morrison.

Visitation with the family will be held from 12-2 pm Monday, January 20, 2020, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.  Entombment will follow at 2:30 pm Monday in Sunset Memory Gardens with Pastor Jason Grant officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made in Rosetta’s memory to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
