Rosemary Baldwin Obituary

Rosemary (Bartle) Baldwin, 88, Kokomo, passed away at 6:05 pm on Saturday September 17, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was born in Scottsburg, IN. on July 31, 1934, to the late Merrill and Beulah (Burger) Bartle. On July 17, 1955, she married Robert W. Baldwin, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1993. 

Rosemary graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1952. She worked at the Howard County Department of Motor Vehicles and retired in 1999 after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Brookside Free Methodist Church. She was involved in Home Bible Studies, and Servant Ministry.  A teacher’s assistant for Adult Bible Studies, and a mission lady for Christian Life Club. She was an Indiana University Basketball Fan and an avid reader.  She loved to visit with people on her porch and witness about her Lord. 

Rosemary is survived by her children, Cindy (Gary) Degraffenreid, and Teddi (Jim) Heinzman; grandchildren, Jamey Heinzman, Mike (Elizabeth) Degraffenreid, Jenny (Matt) Saulmon, Jordan (Jenny Rose) Heinzman, and Katie (Tom) Hale; great grandchildren, Lukas Degraffenreid, Bain Saulmon, Amaya Saulmon, Emma Heinzman, Mason Heinzman, Miriam Hale, and Nora Hale; brother, Merrill Bartle; sisters in law, Nancy Baldwin and Feneta Stewart; and favorite cousin, Connie Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 38 years, Robert; brother, Charles Bartle; aunt & uncle, Jen and Clement Studabaker, who raised her since she was 7 years old.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday September 26, 2022, at Brookside Free Methodist Church, 190 E. 400 S., Kokomo, IN. 46902, with Pastors Jeff Bradley and Doug Benham officiating.  Entombment will take place in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 2 pm to 5 pm on Sunday at the church.  Shirley & Stout has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial Contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child.
