Roger Merrill Wilson

Roger Merrill Wilson, 81, Kokomo, peacefully went home to be with Jesus at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Waterford Place Health Campus. He was born March 5, 1940, in Kokomo, the son of the late Merrill H.  and Irene (Powell) Wilson.

Roger was a 1959 graduate of Kokomo High School. He retired from Haynes International after 36 years as a custodian. Roger was a kind gentle soul, an outdoorsman who enjoyed time spent in nature. He liked collecting mineral crystals, fossils, hiking, and bird watching. Roger attended Church of God of Prophecy in Kokomo.

Roger is survived by extended family and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Joyce Wilson-Roper.

 A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Church of God of Prophecy, 1023 North Armstrong Street, Kokomo, IN 46901. Cremation was entrusted to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
