Obituary

 

Robin Scott Mathews, 58, Kokomo, passed away at 9:27 pm on Friday November 18, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital 86th Street.  He was born in Greenfield on July 8, 1964, to Jerry Mathews and Leona (Neal) Stecher. 

Robin earned his GED from Haworth High School and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute. He was a journeyman for various companies for 25 years but retired from Benchmark.  Robin enjoyed playing golf, attending football games and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.  His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July and he always put on a big fireworks show.

Robin is survived by his parents, Leona Stacher and Jerry Mathews; his daughter, Ashley (Matt) Campbell; grandchildren, Ryan, Preston, Sofia, and Crosley; siblings, Kristy Rader, David Mathews, John Stecher, Amy Mathews-Seedorff, Lance Mathews, Jodie Simer, and Jamie Bridge; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kylie Mathews; sister, Cinea Scales; stepmother, Linda Mathews; and stepfather, John Stecher.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
