Robert "Bob" Ronald Dost, Sr.

Robert "Bob" Ronald Dost Sr., 74, of Russiaville, passed away at 3:22 pm on Wednesday November 6, 2019 at Community Howard Hospital. He was born on February 11, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Calendar) Dost.

Bob attended Kelvin Park High School in Chicago. On June 24, 1967 he married Sharon (Charles) Dost, and she survives. He retired in 2007 after working over 20 years for FW Means in Chicago. Bob enjoyed playing cards, camping, and his aquarium. He was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. Bob was a likeable man with a good sense of humor. He especially cherished spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Robert Ronald Dost Jr. and Cheryl (James) Schliesmann; sister, Carol Souvigny; grandchildren, Robert J. Llamas, Jessica M. (Mychael) Salinas, Leah K. Schliesmann, Amber Miller, and Kara Atwater; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Diane and Lori Dost.

Funeral service will be held at 4:30 pm Saturday November 9, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home in Russiaville, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Rev. Jamie Lyons officiating.
