Robert Gene Henry

Robert Gene Henry, 80, Kokomo, passed away at 8:11 pm Monday, September 2, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born April 19, 1939, the son of the late Lloyd & Hazel (Harrell) Henry.  On August 4, 1984, he married Caroline Spangler who survives. 

Robert worked as a farmer his whole life.  He served with the United States Army and as a clerk for the VA office.  Robert also retired from Northwestern School Corporation as a bus driver after 50 years of service.  He was a member of the Judson Road Baptist Church, FFA, and a former member of the 4H in Howard County. 

Along with his wife Caroline, Robert is survived by his step-daughter, Lauren Donovan; step-grandson, Dru Donovan; sons, Steve Henry and Mark Henry; grandchildren, Derrick Henry, Bethany Thomas, and Kayleigh Calvin, along with 6 great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Henry.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 9, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Ryan Mills officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.   Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
