Rebecca Ann Lord

Rebecca “Becky” Ann (Baber) Lord, 77, of Kokomo, passed away 11:38 am Saturday November 1, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born in Kokomo, IN, on March 29, 1948, the daughter of the late Lester and Oma (Middleton) Baber.

Becky was a 1966 graduate of Kokomo High School. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo after more than 48 years of service as the surgery scheduler for the operating room. Becky prioritized the time she spent with her family and her grandchildren. She had a soft spot for all animals, but especially dogs. She liked reading, drawing, crocheting, and needle pointing. She also enjoyed playing Solitaire and completing jigsaw puzzles. Becky found joy in traveling to the beach to walk and search for shells. She will be remembered for being an excellent cook and baker. She was a former member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori Douglas Rhinebarger; grandchildren, Kylie Warner, Kelsey Watrol, Seth Rhinebarger; great-grandchildren, Hannah Herren, Haddie Herren, Annabella Watrol, and Peter Watrol; sister, Cynthia Rayl; nephews, Abram Rayl, Joseph Rayl, and several nieces and nephews of Fort Wayne, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Oma Baber; daughter, Kristin Warner Simmons; and brothers, Ronnie Baber, Donnie Baber.
