Raymond P. Shaw

Raymond P. Shaw, 85, Greentown, went home to the arms of Jesus at 12:09 am Monday, June 13, 2022, at Century Villa Healthcare in Greentown.  He was born October 2, 1936, in Bakers Corner, Indiana, the son of the late Alton Leroy & Mabel Berniece (Benge) Shaw.  On December 24, 1954, he married Miriam Janice Kimmel who preceded him in death on July 18, 2001. 

Raymond was a 1954 graduate of Greentown High School.  He served with the Indiana National Guard.  He was owner and operator of J & R Trucking for over 30 years, along with Tote-A-Poke Restaurant and the Greentown Dry Cleaners.  Raymond also worked for Eastern School Corporation as a bus driver.  He loved to walk the trails in Greentown and attended Macedonia Christian Church. 

Raymond is survived by his children, Cindy (Alan) Gillogly, Patty (Darwin) Graham and Rick (LaJane) Shaw; grandchildren, Zoe Snow, Brandon (Natalie) Robbins, Autumn (Kevin) Powell, Liza (J.D.) Richardson and Riley Shaw; step-grandchildren, Shannon Townsend, Rachelle Swan, Brandon Graham and Brad Graham; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Keene, Scarlet Chapel, Allison Robbins and Owen Robbins; 12 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Terry (Ginger) Shaw, Rex (Doris) Shaw and Gary (Ruth) Shaw; sisters-in-law, Shirley Webber and Carolyn Kimmel, along with several nieces and nephews. 

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice; sisters, Virginia Ostrander and Judy (John) Cronan; and nephew, Kenny Cook. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown, with Logan Sparling officiating.  Hasler & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
