Randy Duffitt Obituary

Randy Lee Duffitt, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 4:30 am on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his home.  He was born in Elwood, IN on August 17, 1949, to the late John K. and Mildred (McFall) Duffitt.  On April 8, 1972, in Indianapolis, IN he married Connie Burlingame, and she survives.

Randy was a 1967 graduate of Elwood High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University Kokomo. Randy had earned his Eagle Scout award. He served in the United States Army from 1968-1971. He worked for Chrysler Corporation as a machine repairman for 30 years, retiring in 2004.  He was a member of the Howard Masonic Lodge, the Shrine Club, H.O.G, and the Scottish Rite. He loved antique cars, spending time with family, making people laugh, and playing games.  He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.

Randy is survived by his wife, children, Connie (Aaron) Gilbertie, Allison Duffitt, and Adam (Ashley) Duffitt; grandchildren, Austin Anderson, Dakota (Kristyon) Anderson, Cieara Anderson, Dhruthi Anderson, Olivia Gilbertie, and Ayrton Duffitt; siblings, Bonnie Scott and Ralph (Janice) Duffitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Teague, and brother, John Duffitt.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Rock Prairie, 421 Ash St., Tipton, IN, with Justin Markley officiating.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United States Army.  Friends may visit with the family from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday at the church.
