Phyllis Joan Davis, 98, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:42 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her home at Jefferson Manor. She was born on July 25, 1927, the daughter of Paul and Mildred (Henry) Jackson. On October 14, 1950, she married Bob J. Davis in Kokomo and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2010.
Phyllis was a graduate of Kokomo High School. She worked at Delco/GM for 30 years until she retired in August of 1987. Phyllis loved ballroom dancing and would take dancing lessons with Bob. They would frequently dance at the Elks, Moose and Eagles. Phyllis and Bob enjoyed being snowbirds and wintering in Lake Mary, Florida. She loved playing cards and bingo. Phyllis also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Cathie) Davis and Phillip (Nancy Nulf) Davis; daughter, Sherri (Davis) Absher; grandsons, Spencer Davis and Nick (Brianna) Davis; great-granddaughters, Isabella Davis and Delaney Davis; great-grandson, Bennett Davis; brother, Michael Jackson; brothers-in-law, Vance Davis, Sherrel (Kay) Davis, and Ronnie (Anne) Davis; and sisters-in-law, Mary Jackson and Shirley (Sam) Bingham.
Along with her husband, Bob J. Davis, Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mildred Jackson; parents-in-law, Carl and Grace Davis; brothers, Gene Jackson and Bill Jackson; sister, Ella Mae Chasteen; sisters-in-law, Barbara Jackson, Helen Massey, and Lola Davis; and brothers-in-law, Eben Massey and Leon Davis.
