Patty Marlene Mattingly – Durbin, 83, of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Bloom of Kokomo. She was born on October 27, 1942, in Clinton County, the daughter of Harvey W. and Olive M. (Williams) McDaniel. On October 4, 1963, in Indianapolis, she married David K. Mattingly who preceded her in death December 30, 2011. On June 22, 2019, in Indianapolis, she married Larry Clifford Durbin, and he survives.
Patty graduated from Prairie High School in 1960. She was a Licensed Beautician for many years, Patty enjoyed spending her time sewing and quilting. Patty was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to spend quality time with her family. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Along with her husband Larry, Patty is survived by her children, Julie (Jeremy) Walker, David K. (Ruth) Mattingly II, and John Mattingly; grandchildren, Alex Morgan and Kayla Morgan; siblings, Glenda (David) Cubel, Mary (Tim Overdorf) Hayes, Betty (Morris) Butcher, Harvey McDaniel, Dale (Jenny) McDaniel, and Lisa (Jeff) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, sister, Nancy (Charlie) Law; and sister-in-law, Diana McDaniel.
A funeral service celebrating Patty’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd. Kokomo, IN 46902, with Pastor Harvey McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:30 am until the time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
