Obituary

Pat Henry Shipe, 74, Kokomo, passed away at 4:30 am Sunday, September 3, 2023, at his home. He was born on September 24, 1948, in Akron, OH. On April 7, 1968, he married Marilyn White at the Judson Baptist Church, and she survives.

Pat was a 1966 graduate of Kokomo High School. On February 29, 2004, he retired from Chrysler Corporation after 32 years of service. Pat enjoyed wood working, yard work, and researching on the computer.

In addition to his wife Marilyn, Pat is survived by his son, Carey (Lisa) Shipe; daughter, Amy (Terry Knotts) Shipe; 3 grandchildren, William Shipe, Sarah Shipe, and Todd (Amber) Powell; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Powell; 2 sisters, Marilyn (Bob) DiBeneditto, and Holly Worthington; sister-in-law, Beverly (D.A.) Zehring; along with many nieces, nephews, and also cousins from the Akron, OH area.

Pat was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Shipe, Garry Shipe, and Tom Worthington; and sister, Libby Reeves.

Private funeral services will be held at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with LuAnn Young officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Pat’s memory, https://donate.cancer.org/.
