Nancy Jo Hoff, 85, Greentown, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus at 3:20 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022. She was born April 15, 1937, in Danville Illinois, to William H. & Doris O. (Bannon) Bugg. In 1957, she married Dale D. Hoff. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2011.
Nancy went on to Nursing school after graduating from High School. Nancy’s training as a nurse came in handy as she raised three boys. She had worked for Crop Maker in Greentown and she and Dale spent many summers camping and working in Yellowstone National Park.
Nancy had a deep love of our Lord and was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she enjoyed participating in many activities. She enjoyed time spent with her friends in the Greentown Knitting Group. She also enjoyed sewing and adding to her collectibles. Nancy had a love of nature, she enjoyed being outdoors, watching the birds and working in her yard. While in Yellowstone, she developed her skills as a photographer, capturing the natural beauty of the park.
She is survived by her family who she dearly loved, three sons, Duane (Wendy) Hoff, Brian (Jodie) Hoff, Mark (Leslie) Hoff, seven grandchildren, Michael (Brooke) Hoff, Stephanie Hoff, Amanda (David) King, Brad Hoff, Jordan (Cheyenne) Hoff, James Hoff (fiancé, Audrey), Jillian Hoff (fiancé, Zachary); four great grandchildren, Ayden King, Gabriel Hoff, Katerina Hoff, Kalleigh Hoff; her sister, Shirley Frakes, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Edward Bugg, and her brother-in-law Wayne Frakes.
A memorial service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, in the chapel at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 So. Washington Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Shane Guildi officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society or the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, Greentown, has been entrusted with arrangements.
