Mildred Rose (Moore) Harrison, 89, of Kokomo, passed away 7:06 am Wednesday May 7, 2025, at 5 Star Residences of Northwoods in Kokomo, IN. She was born in Loudon, Tennessee on January 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Jeff “Frank” and Addie Mae (Ladd) Moore. On August 28, 1953, she married the love of her life Bill F. Harrison in New Castle, IN, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2013.

Mildred was a homemaker who cared for her husband and their three children. After their children were all in school, she went to work at Burger King for 8 years. She then worked at Howard Community Hospital for 19 years in housekeeping until her retirement. Mildred was a devoted member of Grace Apostolic Ministries. She was saved and baptized in Jesus’ name on May 7, 1967, and received the Holy Ghost. She loved Jesus and her family with all her heart. She loved sewing and she created bridesmaid dresses for three large weddings and often sewed clothing for her children and grandchildren. She liked collecting owls and bears among other items. Mildred found joy in taking pictures and getting her picture taken. She will be remembered for having a funny sense of humor.

Mildred is survived by her children, Diane (Charles “Buster”) Arnett, Marvin (Judy) Harrison, Lisa (Bobby Obanion) Arnett; 14 grandchildren, Amy (Fred) Schorm, Aaron (Liza) Arnett, Ashley (Ruben) Alvarado, Whitney (Justin) Easley, Brandon (Hanna) Arnett, Robert Harrison, Autumn (Aric) Geesaman, Summer Gibson, Heather Williams, Ryan Harrison, Ernie Joe Harrison; 22 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
