Michael "Mikey" Joseph Allen Brewer

Michael “Mikey” Joseph Allen Brewer, 37, of Kokomo, passed away 7:18 pm Saturday May 10, 2025, at his home. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on September 9, 1987, the son of Terry Peace and Carolyn Brewer.

Mikey attended Northwestern High School. He was currently employed by Speedway and recently was promoted to Team Leader. He was a giving man and a great listener who always put others needs before his own. He found joy in looking for ways to help people. Mikey had a great sense of humor and he was the life of the party. He had the best attention to detail which showed in his tidiness and organization skills. His favorite memories were spent fishing and playing baseball in his youth at East Side in Kokomo.

He is survived by his mom, Carol Brewer; brother, Timothy Brewer; aunts and uncle, Teresa Shallenberger, Betty Arnold, Len Burress; nieces and nephews, Teresa Cook, Teresa (Mark) Bishop, J.R. Shallenberger; several cousins, Christian Cook, Chloe Cook, Connor Cook, Braydyn Bishop, Fabian (Laney) Shallenberger, Cassian Bishop; and special friend, Miranda Fayth Brown.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Peace; uncle, Steve Arnold; and grandparents, Jim and Dorothy Burress, Carl Brewer and Lela Birdsong.

A funeral service celebrating Mikey’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home – Jefferson Street 414 W. Jefferson Street Kokomo. Mikey’s funeral service will be live streamed, you can access it by the link at the bottom of the obituary page.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Crown Point Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Mikey’s memory to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
