Matthew "Matt" Alan Burge

Matthew “Matt” Alan Burge, 38, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away September 26, 2025 at his home. He was born September 3, 1987, in Frankfort, Indiana to Louis Dean and Cheryl Burge. He married Sophia Strong in Indianapolis, IN on October 28, 2022, and they were separated.

Matt was a 2006 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School where he was active in Ffortissimo Choir, Big Broadcast, theatre, and wrestling.

Matt is survived by his parents, Louis Dean and Cheryl Burge; brothers, Mike Burge of Frankfort, IN, and Jason (Mandi) Burge of Bloomington, IN, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Anna Crail; and J.E. and Hazel Burge.
