Mary Lucille Lovelace Obituary

Mary Lucille (Arthur) Lovelace, 90, formerly of Russiaville, passed away Friday March 15, 2024, at her home. She was born in Fulton, IN, on May 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Franklin J. and Hazel Izola (Shook) Arthur. On January 1, 1955, she married Joseph Edgar Lovelace at Shiloh United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2007.

Mary was a 1951 graduate of Tipton High School. She retired in December of 2021 after working 45 years in Russiaville at Martin Brothers – NAPA. Mary was dependable and the ultimate caretaker. She was a member of Russiaville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school classes. She was also a member of the Russiaville Ladies Auxiliary and Russiaville United Methodist Women’s Group. Mary was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary appreciated time spent playing Bunko with her friends.

Mary is survived by Joseph “Brent” (Missy) Lovelace, Joy Lebo, Jay Franklin (Lisa) Lovelace, Jan Marie (Jack) Lovegrove; grandchildren, Jessica and Eric, Adam and Erin, Hollee and Curtis, Steven and Jessica, Brandon and Becca, Kim and Brian, Kara and Ryan, Shannon, Sara, Emily; great-grandchildren, McKensi and Ava, Bowie and Remi, Laine and Gaige, Lilly, Hunter, Ginny, Garrett, Clayton, Brindan, Tristan, Keaton, Dylan; great-great-grandchildren, Kash, Ameiyah; several nieces, nephews, and special children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin J. and Hazel Arthur; husband, Joseph Edgar Lovelace; mother and father-in-law, Edgar and Grace Lovelace; all of her siblings and in-laws from both sides of the family; and her special friend, Bob Koytluk.

Mary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Guardian Angel Hospice and their caretakers: Kay, Angie, Terry, Marti, Teresa, and Megan for their wonderful and loving care.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday March 20, 2024, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will begin at 11 am on Thursday March 21, 2024, at Russiaville United Methodist Church, 180 North Union Street, Russiaville, IN 46979, with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating. A link will be available on Mary’s obituary page on Thursday at 11 am to view the funeral live. Burial will follow in Barnett Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the Russiaville United Methodist Church, Western Buddy Bags, or to Guardian Angel Hospice.
