Mary Estes McCullar

Mary Estes McCullar, 84, Noblesville, passed away at 3:09 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Bridgewater Healthcare in Carmel. She was born July 25, 1938 in Elwood, IN to Walter and Gracie (McClanahan) Estes. In October of 1976 she married Hugh McCullar who preceded her in death on November 7, 1986.

Mary worked for Eli Lily retiring after 33 years of service in human resources. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Red Power, and Central Indiana Antique Tractor Association. She enjoyed collecting quilts and was a member of the Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, IN.

She is survived by her sister, Nina (Jim) Turner; nephews, Mark Estes and Joey Pala; great niece and nephews, Samuel, Daniel, Chelsy, Levi, and Bradly, as well as a sister, Carolyn (Bill) DeWitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Jack Estes and Max (Shelia) Estes; nieces, Melinda Pala and Tanya Davis; and a nephew, Nathan Estes.

Funeral services will be at Noon Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main St. Greentown, beginning with an Eastern Star service. Bill Schaefer will officiate the funeral with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
