Marilyn June (Willis) Tooley

Marilyn June (Willis) Tooley, 94, Kokomo, passed away at 5:15 pm Friday, August 25, 2023, at Brickyard Healthcare. She was born July 23, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Stella (Nay) Willis. On November 10, 1946, in Kokomo, she married William Warner Tooley Jr. who preceded her in death on March 15, 2020.

She moved to Florida in 1979 and returned to Kokomo in 2018. Marilyn and William were members of Port Charlotte Church of Christ for 30 years and currently members of the Center Road Church of Christ. She was a lifelong artist and created beautiful paintings.

She is survived by her children, Penny (Richard) Rossini and Janis (Larkin) Parsons; grandchildren, Andrea (Gary) Purcell, Angela Stephens, Marc Parsons, Bradley Parsons, Ryan Parsons, Thomas (Ashley) Tooley, and Samantha Tooley; great-grandchildren, Devin Garro, Kaleigh Atchley, Jessica Rossini, Simon Tooley; step-great-grandchildren, Jessica Pegram, Allen Purcell, Amanda Purcell, and Ella Purcell; great-great-grandchildren, Dash Garro, Crixus Purcell; sisters, Judy Jarratt and Nancy Weaver; brother, John Willis; and daughter-in-law Susan Tooley.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, William Tooley; son, Thomas William Tooley; grandson, Michael Parsons; parents, Charles and Stella; brothers, Dick Willis, Marion Willis, Jack Willis, and Gerry Willis; sisters, Jean DeLarm, and Joyce Land.

There are no public services scheduled at this time. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
