Marcie Jean Frazier, 77, Kokomo, passed away at 7:38 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at her home. She was born, on November 20, 1941, in LaFollette, Tennessee. On April 18, 1965, she married Don S. Frazier, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2017.
Marcie graduated from Kokomo High School and went on to work at Delco Electronics for 10 years. Following that, she moved to Gatlinburg, where she worked at Deer Ridge Resort as an administrative assistant and also at Smokey Mountain Rentals doing bookkeeping and accounting. Marcie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Russiaville.
Survivors include her son, Michael A. (Karen Edmonds) Fisher, both of Kokomo; step-son, Don Frazier, Jr., of Charlotte, North Carolina; granddaughter that she raised, Brandi (Matt) Mihalek, of Sevierville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Michael II, Jennifer, Hailey, Rachael and Stacie; great-grandchildren, Ally, Samuel, Nicholas, Chloe, Jayden, Trey, Briar, Harper, Jackson and Owen; sisters, Sharon Bledsoe, of Kokomo, Sheila (Larry) Haulter, and Kathie Chapman, of Kokomo; and brother, Dennis Ray Chapman, of Kokomo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Eugene and Alice Evelyn Chapman; daughter, Lisa Fisher; step-daughter, Vicky Frazier; step-son, Tony Frazier; granddaughter, Heather Anderson; and sister, Kim Lorene Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Chaplain Dennis Chapman officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from Noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Marcie’s name to Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
