Lynn Fredrick Hasting

Lynn Fredrick Hasting, 74, Kokomo, passed away at 3:22 am Friday June 24, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born July 5, 1947, in Logansport, the son of the late Gerald F. & Vineta A. (Jenkins) Hasting. 

Lynn was a 1968 graduate of the Indiana School for the Deaf.  He retired from General Motors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  Lynn attended Christ Lutheran in Indianapolis.  He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. 

Lynn is survived by his son, Brian Hasting; grandchildren, Alexis Hasting, Macy Hasting and Ethan Hasting; nieces and nephew, Chris (Andrea) Hasting, Jessica Hasting and Jennifer Hasting; daughter-in-law, Penny Hinze; and sister-in-law, Barb Hasting.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lola Mills and Dennis Hasting.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Alan Rork officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:30 pm Wednesday in Crooked Creek Christian Cemetery in Royal Center.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn's memory to the Indiana School for the Deaf.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
