Lora Ryan

Lora Ryan, 47, Greentown, passed away at 12:30 am Saturday, May 7, 2022, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born October 1, 1974, in Kokomo, the daughter of Maurice & Diana (Ridenour) Schacht.  On June 17, 2010, in Gatlinburg, TN, she married Darryl Ryan who survives. 

Lora had worked for Walmart for over 13 years.  She had also worked for Pizza Hut for 10 years.  She enjoyed playing Candy Crush, gardening, tending her flowers, collecting snowmen, being outdoors and jet skiing. 

Along with her husband Darryl, Lora is also survived by her mother, Diana Schacht; children, Bennett Kerr (fiancé, Courtney Mitts), Nicole Bowman, Brett Ryan and Daryl Bowman; brother, Michael Schacht; nephews, Daniel Schacht, Dustin Schacht and Devin Schacht; aunt and uncle, Roger and Dale Ridenour, New York.

Lora was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Schacht; maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Ridenour; and paternal grandparents, Fracis and Stella Schacht.

A memorial service will be held at Noon Saturday, May 21, 2022, at West Middleton United Methodist Church, 480 W. 230 S. (Hobson Street), Kokomo, IN  46902, with Kevin Marsh officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made in Lora’s memory to the American Cancer Society, cancer.org.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
