Linda Ann Heinzelman, 81, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent – Kokomo. She was born on November 13, 1943, in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of Marion Albert and Helen Louise (Shanks) Langston. On August 2, 1963, at Burlington United Methodist Church, she married John Charles Heinzelman, and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2008.
Linda graduated from Burlington High School. She worked as a Janitor for Indiana Packers and previously worked for Midland Meals running meal services for seniors in Burlington. Linda loved to read, and care for her house plants. She was a true servant and enjoyed taking care of people. Linda served on the Burlington Township Council for many years. She was a member of Burlington United Methodist Church and moved to Crossroads Community Church in Bringhurst.
Linda is survived by her children, Ted (Jennifer) Heinzelman and Amy (Aaron Casler) Rudolph; grandchildren, Haley Heinzelman, Riley Rudolph, and Reese Casler; great-grandchild, Charles Whyatt Johnson; siblings, Gary Langston, and Dr. Ed (Linda) Langston; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, John Charles Heinzelman, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law, Carol Langston.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 44 Michigan St, Burlington, with Pastor Dan Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
