Lacy Leigha Alexander Obituary

Lacy Leigha Alexander, 45, of Greentown, passed away accidentally at her home on September 19, 2025. She was born June 25, 1980, in Tipton, to Rex and Karen (Lacy) Honeas. On April 22, 2006, she married Joe Alexander, at Judson Baptist Church, and he survives.

Lacy graduated from Eastern High School in 1998 and had worked for the past 23 years as a Senior Laboratory Tech for Haynes International. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was the one that always planned the yearly family vacations down to every detail. She enjoyed crafting and running in her free time, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and was always the person with the camera at any event or family gathering. She was a 10-year member of 4-H and currently served as a volunteer. She was very active with the girls softball league, coaching for many years including Alannah’s teams, in addition to serving as the league president for 3 years. She also coached Braxton’s baseball and All-Star team for the past 2 years.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Alannah Alexander; son, Braxton Alexander; parents, Rex & Karen Honeas; sister, Alisha Puller; brother, Kris (Tristan) Honeas; in-laws, Jim and Joyce Alexander; sister-in-law, Jenny (Tracy) Kellam; brother-in-law, John (Leslie) Alexander; nieces, Ashley Alexander, Lenabelle Puller, and Paisley Puller; nephews, Braylen Honeas and Krew Honeas; aunt, Debbie Pittman; many cousins; and kids in the community that she loved as her own.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John & Miriam Honeas and Don & Betty Lacy; great-grandmother, Kathryn Mills; and uncles, Dale Honeas and Jim Pittman.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Jerome Christian Church, 9535 E. 100 S., Greentown, with Pastor Peter Heck officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in care of Hasler & Stout Funeral Home to create a college fund for her children.
