Judith "Judy" Diane Maurer

Judith “Judy” Diane Maurer, 86, of Kokomo, passed away at 11:40 am on June 9, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born on November 17, 1938, daughter of Leon and Dorothy Mae (Davenport) Davis. On March 8, 1976, Judith married Thomas J. Maurer in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2006.

Judy was a 1956 graduate of Kokomo High School. She worked for the State of Indiana as an office clerk and had also worked with the Kokomo Parks Department, Child Welfare Department and Miami Correctional. Judy enjoyed reading and crocheting. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Julie Gibson, Jill (Kurt) Nix, and Douglas Maurer; grandchildren, Korey Keller, Kasey Keller, Karah Chase, and Emily (Gavin) Campbell; and great-grandchildren, McKynzie Elizabeth Chase, Kaelyn Diane Chase, and Zephyr Onyx Keller.

Along with her husband, Thomas Maurer, Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Dorothy Davis; and brothers, Gerald “Max” Davis and Conrad “Joe” Davis.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd, Kokomo. A funeral service celebrating Judy’s life will begin at 12 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
