Judith Ann Jones, 58, of Russiaville, IN passed away Monday, May 7th at 8:30 p.m. She was born on July 23, 1953 in Sturgis, KY, to William L. and Nancy (Rinne) Jones.
Judith was a self-motivated individual, and excelled in her education and career for Accounting. She graduated from Western High School in 1971 and from Indiana University at Kokomo in May 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. She then continued to become a CPA in January of 2000.
She used her knowledge and skills of business and accounting as a staff accountant at the firm of Paul J. Hillis, CPA for over 16 years, and before that had worked in the accounts receivable and accounting departments of St. Joseph Hospital for 20 years.
Her memberships and volunteer organizations included the Indiana CPA Society, Treasurer of the American Red Cross- Tipton Chapter, AARP Volunteer Tax Preparer, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and the American Society of Women Accountants, President-Kokomo Chapter. She was an avid Indy race car fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings: William L. & (Georgia) Jones Jr. of West Lafayette, Patricia & (Stephen) Hoppes of Kokomo, Steven & (Tracy) Jones of Noblesville, Jeffrey & (Michaela) Jones of St. Paul’s, N.C., and Victoria & (Todd) Schneck of Russiaville. Nieces and nephews: Jennifer Jones, Kathleen Jones, Stephanie Hoppes, Elizabeth Hoppes, Matthew Jones, Connor Jones, William Jones, Christopher Jones, Grant Schneck, and great-nephew Sean Jones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Father Theodore Dudzinski on Friday, May 11th, at 1 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Thursday, May 10th, from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Stout and Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street Russiaville.
